Metinvest steel output in 2010 up by 32% on Ilyich merger

Metinvest Holding LLC said it increased production by 32% last year after merging with the Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works.
Its steel output jumped to 9.266 million tons in 2010 as compared with 7 million tons in 2009.
Metinvest and Ilyich announced in July 2010 they planned to create a joint venture with annual output capacity of 20 million tons of steel. (Bloomberg)
