Donetsk increased pig iron output in 2013

In 2013 Donetsk Iron and Steel Works increased its pig iron output by 5.3% to 1.38 million tons YoY.

Steel was not produced as the open-hearth furnace manufacture was closed in April 2012.

The works produced 32.5 thousand tons of rolled metal in comparison to 157 thousand tons in 2012.

In December 2013 the works produced 122 thousand tons of pig iron and 3.5 thousand tons of rolled metal.

In January the company plans to produce 118 thousand tons of pig iron. (Ukrainian metal)
