Azovstal is to produce 10 thousand tons of X70
strips with increased mechanical properties. The difficulty of the order lies
in the non-standard size of the rolled metal. According to the buyer’s order,
the strips should be 10.7 mm thick and 3289 mm wide.
Azovstal has never rolled such wide and yet
thin sheets.
Company
specialists have found a special chemical composition of steel and made the
