In January-August Donetsk Iron and Steel Works produced 761 thousand tons of pig iron, down by 16.8% YoY.

Steel wasn't smelted due to the shutdown of the open-hearth manufacture in April 2012.
In the given period the works produced 5 thousand tons of rolled metal, down by almost 72% YoY.
In August the company produced 38 thousand tons of pig iron, while the results of the previous months were on the level of 105 thousand tons.
Pig iron output decrease was due to the lack of iron ore raw materials, which in its turn was caused by the railroad deliveries problems.
Meanwhile the company stands idle. (Ukrainian metal)
