Mr. Igor Prasolov,
minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, said that Donetskstal
Iron and Steel Works will receive a soft loan of $320 million for the
replacement of the open hearth steel production by electric furnace under the
government program to support the development of the internal market.
Mr. Prasolov said that
"In general, within the framework of the program of state support for key
industries we have prepared 65 proposals for banks, of which 49 have already
been sent to the financial institutions. Positive decision on two
