Alchevsk drops output in January 2014
In January Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works decreased its
rolled metal output by 5.4%, to 347 thousand tons, as compared with January
2013 (367 thousand tons).

In 2013 Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works (AMK), a part of the Industrial
Union of Donbass corporation, increased its rolled metal output by 9.3%, to
3.812 million tons, as compared with 2012.

Alchevsk plants to increase production of crude steel in July 2013
Ukrainian steelmaker Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works, a subsidiary of the
Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass, has announced that in the
current month of July it plans to increase its crude steel production by 4%
compared to June to 380,000 metric tons and to increase its production of steel
products by 3% MoM to around 350,000 metric tons, including 210,000 metric tons
of slabs and around 80,000 metric tons of flat steel products.
In January to June Alchevsk produced 2.2 million metric tons of crude steel, up by 13% compared to the same period of 2012, and 2 million metric tons of steel products, up by 15% YoY. (SteelGuru)

Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works to supply its own electricity to energy markets
Mr. Viktor Yanukovych,
Ukrainian President, said that the modernization of Alchevsk Iron and Steel
Works would help to improve the environmental situation in the city, as well as
allow the company to sell electricity.
Mr. Yanukovych at a visiting meeting of the Council of Regions in Luhansk said that the authorities had recently paid considerable attention to the settlement of environmental issues and the inclusion of this component in investment projects.
He said that "This is a problem that we need to resolve in the first place. We have recently paid significant attention to these issues." (SteelGuru)

crude steel production by 20-21% compared to April to 400,000 tons and to raise
its production of steel products by 21-22% MoM to around 370,000 tons,
including 200,000 tons of slabs and around 105,000 tons of flat steel products.
In January-April Alchevsk
produced 1.4 million tons of crude steel, up by 14% compared to the same period

Alchevsk to increase production in April 2013
Ukrainian steelmaker Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works, a subsidiary of the Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass, has announced that in April this year it plans to increase its crude steel production by 10-11% compared to March to 405-407,000 tons and to raise its production of steel products by 10-12% month on month to around 370-375,000 tons, including 205-208,000 tons of slabs and around 120,000 tons of flat steel products.
In January to March Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works produced 1.1 million tons of crude steel, up by 16% as compared to the same period of 2012, and 1 million tons of steel products, up by 18% year on year. (SteelGuru)

Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works to increase steel product output in March 2013
Ukrainian steelmaker Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works, a subsidiary of the Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass, has announced that in March it plans to increase its crude steel production by 23-24% compared to February to 405-410,000 tons and to raise its production of steel products by 24-26% month on month to around 370-375,000 tons.

Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works to cut steel product output in February 2013
Ukrainian steelmaker Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works, a subsidiary of the Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass, has announced that in February it plans to cut its crude steel production by 5% compared to January to 380,000 tons and to reduce its production of steel products by 4% MoM to around 350,000 tons due to repair works at the mill.

Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works to increase steel product output in January 2013

Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works finished steel output down by 8% in January-October 2012
Ukrainian steelmaker Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works, a subsidiary of the Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass, announced that in the January to October period it registered an 8.4% decrease in its finished steel product output to 2.824 million tons, while its crude steel output declined by 0.5% to 3.136 million tons both YoY.
In addition, in January to October Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works saw a 0.6% rise in its pig iron production to 2.861 million tons and a 0.8% increase in its agglomerate output to 4.336 million tons both on YoY basis. (SteelOrbis)

Ukrainian steel majors cut roll output in 8 months of 2012
Most Ukrainian steel majors reduced finished roll production in January to June 2012.
ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih, the country's biggest steel mill, raised roll production tentatively by 14.1% YoY to 3.581 million tons. But Azovstal Iron and Steel Works said it reduced roll output 22.5% YoY to 2.847 million tons, Zaporizhstal reduced it by 3.1% to 2.068 million tons and the Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works reduced it by 11.6% to 2.28 million tons.
Alchevsk Iron & Steel Works, a member of the Industrial Union of Donbass (IUD) group, cut roll output by 10.2% YoY to 2.241 million tons, while IUD's Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works named after F. Dzerzhinsky boosted it by 9.7% to 2.151 million tons. (Interfax)
ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih, the country's biggest steel mill, raised roll production tentatively by 14.1% YoY to 3.581 million tons. Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works to increase production in August 2012

Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works posted net loss of UAH 140.5 million for H1 2012
Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works finished H1 2012 with net loss of UAH 140.5 million versus net profit of UAH 42.4 million in H1 2011.
The volume of sales reduced by 24.7% YoY to UAH 9.4 billion over this period. The company decreased gross loss by 74.8% YoY to UAH 150.5 million.
As reported, Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works sold 1.7 million tons of metal products. 8.4% of this volume was delivered to the local markets. The EU member states proved to be the main markets for the company's products, having accounted for a 35.86% share of all products sold. 19.1% was marketed to the CIS countries and 17.4% was delivered to the Asian and African countries. But Azovstal Iron and Steel Works said it reduced roll output by 21.8% YoY to 2.203 million tons, Zaporizhstal reduced it by 2.8% to 1.545 million tons and the Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works reduced it by 6.4% to 2.27 million tons.
