In 2013 Ukraine decreased metal imports

In 2013 Ukraine imported 1687 thousand tons of rolled metal, down by 5.3% YoY, 13 thousand tons of pig iron, down by 61.8%, and 164 thousand tons of ferroalloys, down by 1.2% YoY.

In 2013 Ukraine earned $3.7 billion on flats exports

In 2013 Ukraine exported rolled flats for $3693.14 million, while imports totaled $1365.55 million.

Ukrainian rolled metal market shrinks in January-August 2013

In January-August rolled metal supplies to Ukrainian market decreased by 15.6%, to 3.892 million tons, year on year. The imports volume decreased by 16%, to 926 thousand tons.

Ukraine to increase rolled steel output in 2011

In 2011 Ukrainian metallurgical companies will increase production of flat steel by 5-8% compared to 2010 to 9.6-9.8 million tons, while the output of long products may go up by 5-7% compared to 2010 to 8.5-8.7 million tons.
In 2011 Ukraine will import around 0.75-0.8 million tons of flat steel worth $910-940 million compared to 0.834 million tons of flat material imported in 2010. (SteelOrbis)
