In 2014 Ukraine to increase iron ore raw materials output

According to experts, in 2014 iron ore raw materials output in Ukraine will increase by 0.9 million tons and will reach 82.1 million tons, without taking Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works sinter into account.

The increase will be the result of the growing domestic market demand, as well as the high levels of exports volumes.

Exports will total 38.3 million tons in 2014, up by 0.5% YoY.

Ukrainian mining-metallurgical companies are predicted to increase their output from 46.3 million tons in 2013 to 47.1 million tons in 2014. (Ukrainian metal)
