In March 2014 ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih decreased steel output

In March ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih produced 492.2 thousand tons of steel, down by 13.04% or 73.8 thousand tons YoY.

Rolled metal output decreased by 9.72%, or 48.9 thousand tons, to 454.4 thousand tons, while pig iron manufacture fell by 11.67%, or 57.3 thousand tons, to 433.7 thousand tons, all YoY.

The company explained this decrease by the halt of the blast-furnace #9 for a week for repair. Though this didn’t affect the first quarter results much, as they were almost on the planned level. (Ukrainian metal)
