Physical volumes remained on the last year
level.
The major part of export in the first quarter
were the semi-finished products - $1.3 billion, down by 2.1% YoY, while flats
dominated the import - $184.3 million, down by 31.4% YoY.
In the first quarter metal raw materials
exports increased by 33.7%, to $495.5 million, while long rolled products
export fell almost by a third – to $651.9 million.
Ferrous metals exports to Russia, which
accounted for a 12% share in the total volume of deliveries, in the first
quarter of 2014 fell by 31.1%, to 565 thousand tons.
In
2013 Ukraine decreased ferrous metals exports by 6.4%, to $14.3 billion, YoY,
while their share in the total export volumes constituted 22.6%. Ferrous metals
