Mariupol Ilyich pig iron output up in H1 2014

In January-June Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works (Donetsk region), a part of the Metinvest group, produced 1.93 million tons of rolled metal, down by 9% YoY.

At the same time pig iron manufacture increased by 11.4%, to 2.633 million tons, while steel production fell by 13.7%, to 2.21 million tons.

In June Ilyich produced 340 thousand tons of rolled metal, 389 thousand tons of steel and 459 thousand tons of pig iron.

In July the works intends to produce 391 thousand tons of steel, 466 thousand tons of pig iron and 1.15 million tons of sinter. (Ukrainian metal)
