Ukrainian daily pig iron output increases further in November

According to the Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom, in November Ukraine’s average daily pig iron output continued its positive trend, registering an increase of 2.12% or 1,600 tons, compared to October, to 77,100 tons.
However, in the first six days of December the country average daily pig iron output decreased to 75,400 tons.
According to Metallurgprom data, as of December 1, 7 of Ukraine’s 36 operating blast furnaces were idle while 3 of the country’s 21 converters, 18 of its 35 open hearth furnaces and 8 of its 15 electric furnaces also continued to stand idle. (SteelOrbis)
