Donetsk Iron and Steel Works slightly decreases pig iron output

In January Donetsk Iron and Steel Works decreased its pig iron output by 3.1%, to 115 thousand tons, compared with January 2013.

In January the works produced around 2 thousand tons of rolled metal, while it produced only 1 thousand tons in January 2013.

In January 2014 the company planned to produce 118 thousand tons of pig iron. In February the works plans to produce 87 thousand tons of pig iron.

In 2013 pig iron output increased by 5.3%, to 1.38 million tons, compared to 2012, and produced 32.5 thousand tons of rolled metal as opposed to 157 thousand tons in 2012. (Ukrainian metal)
